Ernest Hemingway spent a considerable amount of time in the Rioja region, and to celebrate the 55th anniversary of his visit to their winery, Bodegas Paternina will be hosting the “Tinta, Sangre Y Vino” (Ink, Blood and Wine) exhibition.
The exhibition also marks the 50th anniversary of the writer’s death, and shows never before seen photographs of his life, during which he made no secret of his passions for literature, bullfighting and the Spanish way of life.
Ink, Blood and Wine commemorates Hemingway’s love for Spain, his creativity, and enthusiasm for writing, as well as his long-lasting friendship with bullfighter Antonio Ordóñez, and is open to the public Tuesday – Sunday until April 2012 at the Conde de los Andes winery in Ollauri.
