Spring in Rioja is simply beautiful!

Image

Rioja is not only famed for its wine but it is also beautiful walking country with spring being one of the best times to visit the region. Located along the southern border of the Rioja wine region, the Sierra de la Demanda mountain range provides a beautiful setting for hiking, with wild flowers lining the paths throughout April and May. The mountain range is home to lush forests and glacial lakes as well as wildlife ranging from deer to golden eagles. If you fancy spending spring like a Riojan, head out to the mountains for an invigorating hike before exploring the many tapas trails in Logroño and Haro – accompanied by a glass of Rioja wine, naturally!!
