Pay day splash out supper
It’s what we’ve all been waiting for, it's pay day and to celebrate, we’re splashing out and having a night of extravagance with a Rioja wine and indulgent food matching supper.
We’re kicking off the evening with this fresh, yet spicy combination of a warm salad with pear, scallop and chorizo. We’ve chosen this lovely recipe from Delicious Online, the perfect dish to match to a fiery Crianza Rioja wine.
For the main course we’re serving up this tasty BBC Good Food recipe - warm lobster and potato salad with truffled mayonnaise. This decadent dish includes some very luxurious ingredients including truffle oil and lobster, the ideal flavours to complement a crisp white Rioja.
For dessert, we’re going all out with this divine recipe by Jamie Oliver - chocolate mousse with sour cherries and bashed-up sesame snaps. Prepare this first before the other courses to allow plenty of time for it to set properly. We’re planning to enjoy this delightful dessert followed by a lovely Rioja Reserva wine.
To finish the evening we’re going to continue the indulgence with a rich and robust glass of Rioja Gran Reserva alongside a selection of after dinner cheeses.
