Burns Night – Monday 25th January

Are you planning a Burns Night feast this evening? Need some inspiration on what wines to serve with Scottish feast? Look no further than our Rioja wine and food matching menu for the special celebration...

 

-Starter-

For starters, serve your guests this delicious Jamie Oliver, sweetcorn and mussel chowder. A really comforting, homely dish with beautiful depth of flavour, fresh mussels and creamy corn. Pair with a delicious fragrant glass of oaked White Rioja.

 

-Main course-

For your main course, it has to be haggis. This year, we're trying an impressive 'Haggis two ways' a recipe from BBC Food with homemade spicy ketchup and neeps and tatties (crushed swede and potatoes). The savoury and spicy flavours of this dish work well with a Rioja Crianza.

 

-Dessert-

For dessert, it wouldn't be Burns Night with a Cranachan - simply combine raspberries, whipped cream, honey and toasted oats  – perfect as an after dinner sweet treat.
