Burns night feast with Rioja wine matches

Burns Night – Wednesday 25th January

If you’re planning to celebrate Burns Night this evening, we’ve got some great suggestions of what times to Rioja wines to serve with the different dishes in your Scottish feast.

-Starter-

For starters, serve your guests this delicious BBC Good Food Neeps and Tatties soup. This comforting and homely dish with swede, potato and a traditional haggis is the perfect partner to a delicious fragrant glass of oaked White Rioja.

-Main course-

For your main course, it has to be haggis. This year, we're trying this Rack of venison with a Haggis crust and rosemary jus from delicious magazine. The rich, hearty and savoury flavours of this dish work really well with a Rioja Crianza.

-Dessert-

Burns Night wouldn’t be Burns Night without a delicious Cranachan – we’re giving this lovely recipe a go from The Telegraph and serving it with a light and floral white Rioja wine for the perfect balance of flavour.
