September seasonal food and Rioja wine matching menu 


This September, enjoy food at its best with our delicious seasonal menu. Each tasty dish is packed with seasonal ingredients and perfectly paired with a Rioja wine match for the perfect balance of flavours.


Starter: figs

For starter, we’re keeping it simple with a classic combination of flavours with this fig and mozzarella Mediterranean salad from BBC Good Food. The seasonal figs add a sweetness to the creamy mozzarella making it perfect for a light and refreshing unoaked white Rioja.

Main course: Partridge

For the main event, enjoy a lovely rich and meaty roast Partridge with a robust and full-bodied Rioja Gran Reserva wine. This traditional seasonal recipe, from Chef Matt Tebbutt for BBC Food, includes lots of autumnal vegetables and is surprisingly easy to put together.


Dessert: pears

No meal is complete without a bit of sweetness and for this menu, we’re opting for pears as our seasonal ingredients. Poach the pears and serve them in light and fluffy cake with chai-spiced buttercream and salted caramel drizzle from delicious magazine.
